What I Learned this Week 09/28/12

1. I never expected to laugh as hard as I did reminiscing about Veggie Tales, Barney, Blue’s Clues, Jo-Jo’s Circus, The Wiggles, etc’, songs with my kids - especially so soon after outgrowing that phase of their life.
2. Any Veggie tale song will still cause my kids to either dance or sing in broken chorus – especially Silly Songs with Larry.
3. The “truffle shuffle” always makes me laugh.
4. I am slightly disturbed that I like being people’s emergency go to person at 2:00 am.
5. My entire family (dogs included) can fit on my bed and have a view of the lightning storm.
6. Some kids can't tell you, "there is a cactus pine poking through my shoe" until you do a dance.
7. My 16-year-old dog can out hike a group of 4–5-year-old kids.
8. There are a few things more motivating than having your family photograph and cheer you from the family bus while you're riding in a pace line with a group of fast guys.
9. Everyone can hear a cowbell. Everyone.
10. My dogs and I don't like getting yelled at for muddy paws.
