What I Learned This Week - 10/31/14

  1.  412 days until Star Wars Episode VII is in theaters.
  2. "Macaroni and cheese whoopie pie" is a thing.
  3. Bill Nye is very upset a group of squid is not called a "Squad".
  4. The fridge ice dispenser makes a fun location to hide candy and distribute in a surprise manner.
  5. The sight of a young teen trying to rid himself of pesky dusky grouse while stalking deer will have me giggling for days. Stupid grouse.
  6. More Americans have played the role of Batman than have contracted Ebola.
  7. It is possible to give a Police officer a “wet willie” and not get fined, cuffed or thrown in jail.
  8. After 10 years, I never expected to still be asking the question of my teen, "Why did you fart on the dog?"
  9. I'm fairly certain I need a Honda Uni-Cub.
  10. I get a special joy hearing my daughter’s alarm clock ringtone every morning – the song from the opening scene in the Lion King, “the Circle of life”. Everyone should hear, “Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba!!” every morning.
  11. Two crows together is known as "attempted murder".
  12. "Weaponized breast milk" is a phrase I never thought I'd ever hear on the news.
  13. “Online Preschool” is a thing. I’m still trying to figure out how they log in.
