- 392 days until Star Wars the Force Awakens (aka: Episode VII) is in theaters.
- " #Rokerthon" was totally NOT worth it. I expected it to end in grand finale fashion with a major weather event….like a hurricane hailing ninja octopi and man-o-war jellyfish with laser beams on their friggin’ heads.
- There is a Twitter account for "Captain Obvious" which makes my statement to my kids of, "you must follow Captain Obvious on Twitter" that much funnier....to me anyway.
- Amazon.com has a coupon page.
- The word "mortgage" comes from a French word that means "pledge to the death."
- If you ever want to fully understand how dirty something is, take a photo of it.
- Oreo Churros are a thing.
- Ramen Doughnuts, "Ramnuts", are another thing.
- Best T-shirt in the airport this week read, “What if Stacey’s Mom was actually Jessie’s Girl and her number was 867-5309?”
- According to my middle daughter, if you can’t dance just spell your name in the air with your butt.
- According to the same middle daughter, number 11 doesn’t apply to me because the way I spell my name is “disgusting”.
- According to several friends, this list helps keeps them regular.
- According to other friends, they are currently rolling their eyes as their wife reads them this list aloud…again.
- When starting a sentence with “according” I always immediately type “to the prophecy” and then delete it.
- It's always the least likely person at the party that I will sit and reminisce about the Star Wars toys of our youth.
- Goldfish shaped teabags are genius.
- Bad guys beware - women are now instructors at the local police academy and will teach "aggression tactics" one week a month.
- Jake Lloyd, the actor that played the boy version of Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars Episode 1 – the Phantom Menace”, is 25 years old. Yes. Way.
- My youngest daughter thinks it is hilarious to knock on her older sisters' doors and ask, "do you want to build a snowman?" So do I.
- The word in Japanese for my oldest’ s favorite star cluster in the Pleiades (the 7 sisters) is “Subaru” - hence the stars on the car manufacturer’s logo.
- There will be a sequel to the “Spongebob Squarepants” movie….coming to 3-D theaters near you in February. Fred the fish’s line of “OH, MY EYES!!” comes to mind.
- High-heel-hi-top-sneakers are a thing.
- I have no idea what happens to you if you were late to the first “Fight Club” and missed the rules. Tweeting, “This fight club is pretty awesome” is probably a bad idea.
- Kids and friends that reserve the “shotgun” seat when entering my vehicle by yelling “Chewie!!” make me laugh and warm my heart.
- You can now purchase a candle of “Agent Toht” from “Raiders of the Lost Ark” - so you can morbidly enjoy the face melting scene in horribly slow fashion.
- Japan has successfully conducted tests of its new maglev train, reaching a speed of 311 mph. This is 111 mph faster than the current bullet trains.
- There are way more undersea internet cables than you think (http://submarine-cable-map-2014.telegeography.com/)..and yes, sharks are trying to eat the internet.
