What I Learned This Week - 1/16/15

  1.  335 days until "Star Wars - the Force Awakens" (aka: Episode VII) is in theaters.
  2. In the south, primarily Texas, a favorite food of movie goers and offered in all theaters is a large dill pickle served in a bag know as a “pickle bag”.
  3. Texans who ask for a “pickle bag” in Colorado will promote laughter throughout the concession line.
  4. NEVER perform a Google search for “pickle bag”.
  5. Best comment form a coworker this week, “I don’t want to say its cold outside, but I just saw a gangster who pulled up his pants.”
  6. Archaeologists discovered skeletal remains of a Roman couple who had been holding hands for over 1,500 years.
  7. My walks around various portions of the airport would be far more awesome if they made adult versions of “Heelies” that were actually comfortable.
  8. Most people have freckles on their iris and don't know it.
  9. According to my optometrist, there is no such thing as "dogaracts", but there should be.
  10. My optometrist pronounces "sphygmomanometer" as "blood pressure cuff".
  11. The technical term for a workaholic is "ergomaniac."
  12. People who can never make up their minds might be "aboulomanics"..... Or they might not.
  13. The technical term for "pathological liar" is "pseudomaniac".
  14. You can make an emergency candle that will last about an hour out of a quarter stick of butter.
  15. Sometimes you are reminded of your age in not-so-hilarious ways.
  16. Sometimes the simplest birthday events are the best.
  17. The City Council of Bainbridge Island, Washington has banned the admittance of cheese and cheese flavored products into City Hall in honor of the NFC title game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packer. Yeah - that will show them - lack of cheese is the defenses weakness.
