What I Learned This Week - 1/23/15

1.  328 days until "Star Wars - the Force Awakens" (aka: Episode VII) is in theaters.
2. According to a coworker, Mr. Afternoon T states, "One sympathizes with the baffoon!"
3. The restroom stalls at the airport at which I work have been reviewed on Yelp - thankfully there is a 5 star review, "would poop here again".
4. Actor, Nicolas Cage, is a big nerd and changed his last name in honor of a comic book character (Luke Cage, aka Power Man).
5. Actor, Vin Diesel, is also a big nerd and is known as one of the biggest Dungeons & Dragons geeks in Hollywood who goes by his longtime player name, Melkor.
6. You don’t realize how much you depend on the internet until it doesn’t work…..for five days.
7. www.Instantcheckmate.com will scare you.
8. There is a special feeling of remorse when you realize you still have your glasses on mid shower.
9. I'm fairly certain the ideas for the plots of many horror movies are developed while sitting in rush-hour traffic.
10. Another sign the apocalypse is near: Microsoft announced Windows 10 will be a FREE upgrade to all Windows users using versions 7 to 8.1. Yes, FREE.
11. Another sign of the apocalypse: At the Windows 10 announcement, more attendees of the conference touted MacBookss than any other device.
12. The most awesome use of technology comes from the best misuse of a device b a guy in Australia who installed the Android Kit Kat operating system on an iPhone 6+ …..just to run a ported version of Microsoft Internet Explorer and play a Java based version of Oregon Trail. 
13. The world doesn't seem right when your dog doesn't wake up with you as is normal routine.
