What I Learned This Week - 5/22/15

  1.  209 days until "Star Wars - the Force Awakens" (aka: Episode VII) is in theaters.
  2. 29 Days until the team start of RAAM.
  3. Billiard balls used to be made of ivory. Only three ball could be manufactured from a single elephant tusk. The popularity of billiards in the mid/late 1800's is a primary contributor to elephant extinction.
  4. If you have to shop with your daughter for her underwear, wear a hulk mask found in the kids department, select random undergarments and yell, "BRA SMASH!" - this will draw less attention to her so she can make her choices in private.
  5. According to my oldest, it is not cool to dump someone by handing them a sock and state, "Dobby is free".
  6. Buns made of french fries are a thing.
  7. Scientists believe that names of people are arbitrary and hold no specific information in them. This makes it difficult for your brain to justify remembering them. I thought it was something else. #WhatsHisFace
  8. Spoiler alert - In the movie, "Avengers - Age of Ultron", Ultron's age is never revealed.
  9. "Oreo-Stuffed Donut Holes with Oreo Frosting" is a thing
  10. According to a sign on a bathroom wall, "Life isn't always burritos and strippers".
  11. According to a college hacking guide, bacon can be cooked on a hair-straightening iron - albeit on piece at a time.
  12. People from other states don't believe me when I tell them, "there are still ski resorts open in Colorado and some of them got a foot of new powder this week". #NotLying
