What I Learned This Week - 12/29/17

  1.  6 days until Madison, the firstborn returns to AmeriCorps. #sadface
  2. If you start the movie Forrest Gump at 10:38:57 pm on New Year’s Eve, you can ring in the New Year with Lt. Dan. #MagicLegs
  3. You know you’ve known someone a long time when you can have an entire conversation reminiscing about each others dogs. #TheyreGoodDogs
  4. I’m fairly certain “Christmas” is Greek for “No, I haven’t eaten enough sweets yet”.
  5. There is an unexpected joy in little foster dog, “It is freezing out there” dances. #MiniJamesBrown
  6. Little dog dags are almost as good as big fat lab dances. #almost
  7. Interviewing potential parents for foster dogs is almost as hard at taking my professional engineer exam. #SoManyOSMFamilies
  8. According to my youngest, drinking through a straw is “reverse snorkeling”. #maybe
  9. I’m one of the few people who would rather spend 10 minutes reading an article about a topic rather than watching a video of the same exact thing.
  10. Friends an family get a kick out of making my oldest say, “alfalfa”.
  11. Sometimes hot chocolate around a fire is all you need. #peace
  12. Star Wars - The Last Jedi was actually better the second time. #YesWay
  13. My Wife actually liked a Star Wars and believes the Porgs have replaced the Ewoks on the
